Alan Bignell

Alan is an Alexander Technique teacher who for the past 22 years has given lessons both privately and in companies. One of these was ICI where for four years he provided Alexander lessons to staff and conducted assessments of their workstations. These allowed him to observe closely how people were using (or commonly misusing) themselves while working. This allowed him to make recommendations about the way equipment was set up and, with his Alexander background, give advice on how individuals could sit better and work more efficiently.

Alan is a French speaker and has given presentations about posture and the Alexander Technique in Latin America and Europe. He is married with a son and is based in London. He teaches the Alexander Technique at the Bloomsbury Alexander Centre and from home.
